Henry studied Industrial Design at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design in the United States of America and at the Australian National University in Canberra, where he graduated with First-Class Honours in 2008.

While working in the Industrial Design industry, Henry won a number of Australian Design competitions, including 'Australia's Best Emerging Designer' in 2010. In 2012 Henry featured on the front page of The Australian newspaper under the title 'The Future Looks Bright' while being named 'Australia's Next Generation Design Leader'.

As a result of winning these multiple design awards, Henry was invited to Italy for Salone de Mobile Milano. At international design week, he exhibited with global companies such as Poliform in 2012 and 2013. Henry spent his time in Milan pitching his personal designs to European manufacturers. In 2014, Henry partnered with Swiss company Röthlisberger which now manufactures, markets and distributes his Block 2 light under licence.
