Henry studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States and the Australian National University in Canberra, completing a double degree that included a Master of Property Development.
During his time in the design industry, Henry received recognition through a number of Australian design awards, including being named Australia's Best Emerging Designer in 2010. In 2012 he was profiled in The Australian as one of the country's emerging design talents.
His work led to opportunities to exhibit at Salone del Mobile Milano, where he showed alongside established international names and spent time developing relationships with European manufacturers. In 2014 he reached an agreement with Swiss firm Röthlisberger to manufacture and distribute his Block 2 light under licence, a partnership that continues today.
