Three’s name comes from the one, two, three components from which it is constructed. As a design almost ascetic in principle, Three stages a daring re-think of the side table without compromising on functionality. The first of three components offers a generous and unobstructed top surface, while the minimal underframe provides for storage and arrangement of books and magazines.
Three represented an experiment in simplicity of construction and composition. While the absence of multiple components enabled me to streamline production processes, it presented an inherent challenge to extract the maximum functionality out of each component, with manufacture of the product involving collaboration with a local engineering facility to manipulate mild steel. The steel has a powder coated finish and comes in variable colours.
